We all know sommeliers, trained wine professionals – but have you heard of a water sommelier yet?
Because it’s a thing! You can meet one in the “Le Water Bar” of the Paris-based concept store Colette (www.colette.fr); and the famous “Ray’s and Stark” restaurant at LACMA in Los Angeles now has a resident water sommelier (http://www.patinagroup.com/restaurant.php?restaurants_id=133) as well.
It makes perfect sense because water isn’t water – and in terms of taste, purity, mineral composition, and impact waters from different sources are worlds apart, literally.
