I teach an “intuitive eating” approach to help clients reconnect with their body’s natural signals of hunger, fullness and satisfaction. My goal is to help you create a healthier, happier relationship with food, so you enjoy health that lasts a lifetime. The founding principle of my practice is finding and sustaining long-term wellness through balance and no more dieting.

One-on-one counselling is tremendously effective because each recommendation is customised to your unique situation, lifestyle and personality. I take the time to work with you to set goals and work as a team to help find what works best for you to achieve wellness and optimal weight for life.

How It Works

When you begin working with me, I start with a thorough assessment of your overall health, weight history, social history, medical history, lifestyle, nutrient requirements and current relationship with food. Next, I work with you to identify and systematically “unlearn” any diet mindset that might be hindering your ability to foster a healthy relationship with food. At the same time, I teach you a behavioural approach to weight loss that emphasizes WHY and HOW you eat, not just WHAT you eat. By reconnecting you to your body’s natural signals of hunger, fullness and satisfaction, my approach empowers you to eat what you love, lose weight and easily relax into the healthy diet that’s right for your body. This methodology– which does not involve meal plans, “approved” foods, supplements, or eating on a schedule– is, in my professional and personal experience, the only way to truly lose weight and keep it off in the long run and live a healthy, balanced lifestyle.
